Candeloro put on the yellow paper hat after his free program...
Japanese cheering party of Canderolo "le coin des Mordues" has orgernized after Lillehammer Olympic. They have loved him and his skating, so they have cheered him regardless of his success. It was last summer when they knew Canderolo would skate "D'Artagnan" for his free program on this season, however he was not selected the France representative of the Nagano Olympic game yet.
They tought the way to cheer him. They studied about the story of "The Three Musketeers" by seeing its movies and reading its books. So they decided the two ways. One was to make a cheering banner written the words "Un pour tous.Tous pour un"(It is our musketeers' motto "One for all. All for one."). Another way was to make and put on the musketeers' style hats in the stadium.
When Canderolo skated the free program in Nagano, 30 musketeers putting on the hats was gazing at his skating from the seat of studium. After then, one of them dropped down the hat to him sitting down the waiting points seat "Kiss & Cry". He picked up it and returned to the edge of ice putting on its hat to respond to people's encouragements.
I was deeply impressed by its sight, when I watched it on TV. I thougut that it matched well for his program, and that his eager fan dropped down the hat. So I reported it on our Japanese web site and another our members made some comments about it too. The leader of the party read it, therefore I received her message about the story of its hat.
On behalf of all musketeers' fan, I deeply appreciate their cheering as well as Candeloro, because they understand correctly the story of the musketeers. Merci!
