"D'Artagnan" by Philippe Candeloro in Nagano

Program of d'Artagnan

On 30 November 1997, Candeloro took part in the exhibition of the NHK trophy in Nagano (Japan) on the spur of the moment. Then it was his first skating of "d'Artagnan". And on 14 February 1998 in Nagano Olympic Games, he won a bronze medal by this amazing program. It was based on the story of "The Three Musketeers" written by Dumas. He completely expressed its story, from fencing to deep bow like a movie of musketeers. So his artistic and dynamic program was highly regarded by the judgements and the spectators, though he didn't have difficult jumps such as quad loop jump.
The wonderful music "d'Artagnan" used in this program was original composed for Candeloro by his friend, Maxime Rodriguez.
